The Forest District Cricket Club is located on the western edge of the Northern Beaches.
We are an enthusiastic junior club with teams and competitions for 4 to 16 year-olds (boys and girls).
We believe cricket is a great game that keeps kids active and has a fantastic social element.
We have a group of dedicated parents and managers and are looking to introduce cricket to many more juniors. We have drawn players from Forestville, Frenchs Forest, Killarney Heights, Roseville, Chatswood, Belrose and Beacon Hill.
If you are interested in joining the Club, offering your coaching services or sponsoring the Club, we would love to hear from you.
The History of Forest District Cricket Club
Teams have been playing under the Forest name for more than 35 years in Manly/Warringah competitions. In the early days teams played under the name Forest Anglicans and from about 1982 as Forest Districts. Forest has continuously fielded teams in various age groups over that whole period. There are strong links between Forest District Cricket Club and the Forest Rugby Club.
The story goes that at some point in the early seventies, some of the dads from the rugby club got together and formed a cricket team so their children could play for a locally based team. The rest, as they say, is history! The Forest District Cricket Club logo, is believed to be derived from and bears a strong resemblance to the Forest Rugby logo.
Forest District Cricket Club has a proud history of achievement.
There have been many individual and team successes over the years with numerous premierships won by Forest teams and many Forest players being selected for representative honours with Manly District sides. Forest players have also gone on to higher levels of cricket with a number playing grade for Manly as senior players over the years.
The 2103/14 season saw our U12s win the Division 1 Premiership.
In 2015/16, the Club enjoyed Premiership wins for the U14 team, which took out the Division 2 title and the Girls U13s side which won both the Spring and Summer seasons of the inaugural Sixers Girls Cricket League.
The U11 Blues also contributed to competition wins for Forest in 2015/16, with victory in the mid-week Manly Mini Bash.
The 2016/17 season saw a few Forest teams pick up Premierships: U11s, U12 Greens, U13 Girls and U17 Girls.
And in 2018/19 both the Girls U13 and U15 teams took out the top prize.
