Cricket season is just around the corner, and Forest Cricket is excited to open our doors to new players, new families, and anyone interested in giving cricket a go. Whether your child has never picked up a bat before or your family is simply exploring local sports options, our Newcomer Night is the perfect way to get started.

Our club has always been built on community, development, and making cricket accessible for everyone. This evening is designed to help new families feel confident, informed, and supported as they join the Forest cricket pathway.

Intro to Cricket for New Players A simple, friendly walkthrough of what junior cricket looks like at Forest — formats, age groups, equipment, training, and how we support kids at every stage.
Registration Support Step‑by‑step guidance for families registering for the 2026/27 season, including help navigating PlayHQ and understanding age‑group placement.
Volunteering Pathways Learn how parents can get involved — coaching, managing, scoring, helping at training, or supporting club events. No experience required; we’ll show you how we set volunteers up for success.
Team Formation & Season Structure How teams are created, what training schedules look like, and how the season runs from September through March.
Online Scoring and Umpiring resourcesÂ
Open Q&A Session Ask anything — big or small. Our committee and coaches will be on hand to answer questions and help families feel confident heading into the season.Â
